NIKAÓ LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE
to conquer or be victorious
Leadership marked by excellence is world-changing. The Nikaó Leadership Institute is designed to prepare you for leadership with the knowledge skills necessary to impact the world for eternity as godly leaders of tomorrow.
The Nikaó Leadership Institute admits a small number of applicants each year, based on demonstrated spiritual maturity, leadership ability and commitment, academic achievement, community engagement, reputation, and communication skills.
Leadership skills are developed over time and through experience. The Nikaó Leadership Institute gives you opportunities to practice leadership skills in a hands-on setting.
In the Nikaó Leadership Institute you will be…
through peer-to-peer and advisor-to-peer relationships, evaluation and assessment, and personal coaching.
through class content, leadership summits, professional opportunities, and meaningful community service initiatives and activities.
through a full-tuition scholarship for 12 credit hours per semester.
How has the Nikaó Leadership Institute impacted others?
“The leadership skills I have been learning have equipped me to serve so much more effectively, in all areas of my life. I have been able to apply what I learn each week even beyond my track. I have developed closer relationships with students and faculty and grown in my walk with the Lord.”
“Nikao has challenged me to speak up and voice my opinions, and through this I have gained confidence and the ability to communicate more effectively.”
“It is a joy to GO and serve others outside of Calvary! It is refreshing to interact with people of different ages and cultures. Although I will eventually leave Calvary University, the opportunity to serve those who do not know Jesus will always exist. What a privilege to start now!”
“Nikaó has put me in a unique position to assist students and make a difference in their academics. I have the privilege of seeing students getting the help they need firsthand. It always makes me happy to relieve some stress attached to an assignment or ease concerns through the Academic Center.”
What will your time in the Nikaó Leadership Institute look like?
Calvary University has been committed to the biblical foundation and excellence in education for more than eighty-five years. The Nikaó Leadership Institute is part of that commitment, preparing leaders to live and serve in the church and in the world according to a biblical worldview. By being a part of the Nikaó Leadership Institute you will learn to lead through communication, relationships, and your interactions with people.
The Nikaó Leadership Summit is a one-week conference in August filled with practical, hands-on workshops designed to catapult you into a year of learning leadership principles.
You will be assigned a mentor who will oversee and walk through the semesters with you. Mentors will work with the NLI staff to ensure the students understand and are growing in leadership abilities.
You will choose a leadership track and accumulate Nikaó points through practical leadership and service opportunities.
During the semester you will participate in weekly breakout sessions that will provide opportunities for critical thinking, self-reflection, and evaluation of each student’s contributions to the campus community and beyond.
You will complete and submit an annual leadership portfolio which documents your experiences and growth.
BECOME A LEADER
