Calvary University offers reasonable accommodations to students with special needs in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (1990) and Section 504. Prior to receiving support services, the student must provide proper documentation verifying the disability (a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more life activities) and of the need for support. Documentation may include official medical diagnosis, psychological evaluations, etc.  Any information provided is strictly voluntary and will be kept confidential. The information will be used for the student’s immediate benefit.  Please contact the Accommodations Support Coordinator using the form available here

The type of disability determines the appropriate support. Services may include: 

  • Special seating 
  • Extended testing time 
  • Separate testing location 
  • Oral testing 
  • Taped or scanned texts on books or tapes 
  • Taped lectures 
  • Note-taking assistance 
  • Language substitution 
  • Tutoring 
  • Other support as requested and approved
