Family and Associate Pastor

The Associate Pastor at Westbrooke Church is expected to be a man of mature Christian character who is equipped to perform a broad range of pastoral ministries needed to serve a local church. As the Family and Associate Pastor, you will be responsible for overseeing the youth and children’s ministries, as well as providing pastoral care and coaching for children and youth ministry leaders.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Senior Pastor to provide leadership and direction for the church community.

• Provide pastoral oversight for youth and children’s ministries, including developing and implementing programs that support the spiritual growth and development of children and youth.

• Provide training, support, and coaching to children and youth ministry leaders to equip them for ministry.

• Develop and implement Family Ministries, including training opportunities for families, pastoral visitation of families, dedication of children, and counselling parents, children, and families.

• Help to develop small groups that facilitate biblical soul care and practical, intentional discipleship.

• Ensure that budgetary requests for the above are properly submitted.

Qualifications:

• A genuine and evident walk with Jesus Christ.

• A lifestyle that conforms to the requirements for an Elder prescribed in 1 Timothy and Titus.

• Full agreement with the Statement of Faith of Westbrooke Church.

• A degree in Theology from a recognized institution or continued progress toward that end or an understanding of Theology gained through diligent personal study and life experience.

• Previous history of faithful ministry within local church settings.

The Associate Pastor at Westbrooke Church will be coached and encouraged to develop teams, seeking ways to expand cooperation within the body.
