“So, This is Rural” Conference

Focusing on the revitalization of church ministry in rural North America

October 14-15, 2022


VILLAGE MISSIONS and THE BURNHAM CENTER FOR GLOBAL ENGAGEMENT are pleased to announce a conference on the current state of the rural church in North America and how it can be revitalized.  The event is free of charge and open to students and area ministry leaders interested in being involved in rural church revitalization.  For students curious about or enrolled in the Synergy/Village Missions On-Ramp program, this event is the first of three events connected with this program.

  • STARTS: Friday  October 14 at 6:30 p.m.
  • CONCLUDES: Saturday , October 15th at 4:00 p.m.
  • WHERE: The event will be held at CABRE 101/102

10:20-Noon The Nehemiah Principle (How God uses teamwork to meet needs)
Noon-1:00 p.m. Lunch provided by Village Missions
1:00-2:00 p.m. The 7 E’s of Effective Rural Church Revitalization:  bringing a church back from the brink of closing to vitality
2:00-2:20 p.m. Break
2:20-3:30 p.m. Stories From the Fields:  a panel discussion about examples of bringing churches back to vitality with Randy, Ben, and Jon (followed by Q & A)
3:30-4:00 p.m. Wrap-up session
