Calvary is a wonderful place to learn and grow, and it’s important to us that you feel ready to begin this adventure.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: When will I receive my room assignment?

You will receive your room assignment toward the end of June once you have submitted all housing forms and made your deposit.  If you do not receive your room assignment, please contact the Residence Life CoordinatorDue to limited space, make sure to submit your housing forms and deposit promptly!

Q: How do you choose my roommate?

Roommates are matched by the following preferences: major, room neatness, sleeping habits, music, time spent, other interests, etc.  You will receive the contact information for your roommate once you have been assigned.  We encourage you to contact your roommate prior to move-in to get to know them and to coordinate what to bring for your room.

Q: Can I bring my pet?

Out of courtesy for fellow residence hall students and sanitary reasons, no pets, except for fish, are permitted in or around the dormitory.

Q: What size sheets do I need?

Bed size for a double room is a traditional twin and a single room is a full size.

Q: What is provided in my room?

Each student room is furnished with a bed, mattress, desk, desk chair, a shower, sink, a toilet, and your own large closet.  There are dresser drawers under each twin sized bed for storing clothes, as well as plenty of shelf space in the closets and dressers in the single rooms.

Q: Can I bring my car to college?

All students are permitted to have cars on campus by properly registering them with the Security Department. Vehicle identification stickers are to be displayed in the lower left corner of the rear windshield on the driver’s side.

Q: Will I have an email account?

Yes.  Your student email account information will be sent to your personal email account during enrollment.  Important information will be sent to your student email account throughout your time at CU.  Students are responsible to check their student email account on a regular basis.

Q: Will I have Wi-Fi in my dorm room?

Yes.  All CU buildings are equipped with wireless network connections.

Q: What is the alcohol policy?

Calvary University is an alcohol, tobacco, and drug-free campus.  Use, consumption, possession, distribution, or manufacture is strictly forbidden and will result in disciplinary action.

Q: Can family and friends that visit me stay the night in my room?

Family and friends of the same gender are permitted to stay in your room (twin mattresses are available to you for your guests).  Each residence dorm student may have three guest stays free, but after 3 nights, $10 will be charged per night.  You are responsible to notify your RA of any guests staying in your room.
