Pastor Job Description (Part time or bi-vocational)

We are a small rural Independent Baptist Church in the small town of Stanton in mid-Michigan, seeking a devoted and passionate Spirit-led Pastor, with church planting vision and skills to lead our congregation.
The Pastor will focus on outreach to the community, provide spiritual leadership to members, deliver weekly sermons, conduct weddings, funerals and baptisms, and oversee caring for individuals in our congregation.

Experience working with people of all ages in a church setting.

Missions focused with a passion for outreach and sharing the gospel in the community.
Excellent communication skills-verbal, visual, written and relational.
Flexibility to plan and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong recruiting and team-building skills.

Professional Qualifications

Gifted with entrepreneurial skills, willingness to minister bi-vocationally.
Higher education preferred, with a desire to be ever-learning highly recommended.
Willingness to engage in or has received training in a church planter skill development process.
Willing to become an engaged participant in the Stanton community.
Possesses strong computer skills and familiarity with media platforms for ministering to the church and to the community.
