Financial Aid FAQs

When are my payments due?

Fall payment plans can start as early as July and should be completed in November. Spring/Summer payment plans start in December and should be completed by May (spring) or June (summer).

How much will I pay out of pocket?

This depends on what scholarships and financial aid you will be eligible for. We can provide an estimate until your FAFSA and scholarship application have been received. You will be required to make payments, based on the full amount due, prior to beginning classes. Once financial aid is processed, your payment plan will be adjusted and any overages will be returned to you.

When will my scholarships and financial aid be posted to my account?

Institutional scholarships are verified and applied approximately 14 business days after classes begin. Federal Financial Aid is posted on your account when funds are disbursed from the Department of Education.

When will I receive my grant/loan overage?

Overage checks are processed within 10 business days of disbursement.

Do I have to pay now or can I wait until we know what I’ll receive for financial aid?

A payment, or payment plan, is required one month prior to the beginning of the semester. Your first payment is expected prior to the start of classes. If your account will have an overage after financial aid has been packaged/disbursed, you will receive an overage check at that time.

Where do I go to accept my loans?

You will log into your Regent Financial Aid Portal to view your financial aid package, fill out your Master Promissory Note, Entrance Counseling for loans, accept your loans, and Exit Counseling for loans (https://ufasstudentxprod.regenteducation.net/signin).
