Reviews

Calvary’s a great school – I completed my undergraduate and graduate degrees here. I first came in 2013, and when I first attended, there were some culturally legalistic issues that affected campus life – things like strict dress codes, poor discipline methods, and a general attitude towards students that treated us like children instead of adults. I stayed for the education, which is really, really excellent – especially the counseling, business, and theology departments. By the time I finished up at Calvary (2021ish), the school had come a dramatically long way in being more grace-filled and discipleship-focused, and much of that old legalism that has characterized so many Christian higher-ed spaces has melted away.
My path with Calvary university started many years ago. The experience, knowledge and skills obtained will always be my guidelines throughout each sector of my ministry/calling. I was honoured to have two amazing mentors/ professors and am humbled by the Grace of God to be part of this road travelled…
It’s a small bible college, so you get to know everyone on campus. Depending on majors classes are small. Some of the general education classes are a bit bigger though. The professors are nice and like to get to know all the students. The best part is watching all of the students and professors growing in their spiritual life. It’s almost like having a second family because we each got each other.
The professors are magnificent, the classes are great and helpful in real world.
The education department gives you various opportunities to observe real classroom situations to better develop our understanding of teaching.
Calvary is a beautiful school full of people who genuinely care for your well being. Having an issue in a class? Talk to the professor and he will sort things out swiftly. Need more time to focus on God? Every class begins with prayer and there eis chapel three times a week! I would suggest this school to every person in the world no matter their beliefs.
Calvary University has amazing faculty. Some of the best professors I have ever met. They are kind and genuinely care for each and every student.
I would say the best part about Calvary is the community, and obviously the price. It is a useful resource for learning more about the Bible if you are wanting to. It is as impactful as you make it.
