Elementary Teacher (Full Time)

Latham Christian Academy is an independent ministry of our local church, Latham Bible Baptist Church. We have been serving families in the greater Capital Region of New York state since 1979. We are committed to reaching families for Christ while providing academic excellence. 

We are looking to hire two elementary teachers for this coming fall 2026. We are looking for teachers who are passionate about teaching, reaching children for Christ, and seeing them grow closer to Christ through their academic study. 

Our staff are encouraged to provide an engaging atmosphere fit for learning and leaning on the Lord. We use the Abeka curriculum which provides well planned lessons for teachers to follow and work from. Teachers are also encouraged to plan meaningful field trips and events for the class when coursework allows for it. 

For full time staff we provide a year round salary and health insurance. For full time staff who also have children, their annual tuition is covered.

Latham Christian Academy also provides a built in church family. Latham Bible Baptist Church has a heart for children both at LCA and within our church ministries. We offer an immediate support for those moving to our area. Our Pastor and his wife are even graduates of the academy. Having staff who are committed to a local church is important to school community.

Our location is nicely placed just south of the Adirondack Mountains and equidistant from New York City and Boston. These offer transplants plenty of opportunity to explore the north east in your free time.
