The most consistent feedback we receive is that our community is the biggest reason students come and stay at Calvary. At the heart of this community is dorm life. Our dorms are spacious and even include private toilets and showers for each student.
However, over the last couple of years, the dorms have faced serious issues with the air conditioning and heating systems. Many of the thermostats in the rooms are not communicating properly with the HVAC system, causing rooms to overheat or overcool and requiring Maintenance to manually override the issue. Several rooms cannot be used at all due to a total failure of the thermometer. With a 20% increase in dorm population this year (and looking at a similar increase next year), the broken rooms are quickly becoming the limiting factor for our overall dorm occupancy.
To fix the problems, we need to raise $85,000. To ensure we reach our goal, we are raising funds during both Mail-A-Thon this month and Feast & Fund in March.
This is a big goal, but we know Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, is bigger. Will you prayerfully consider partnering with us for this project?
