Favorite memory as a Calvary student: I remember being in the library with Dr. Nelson researching a paper for his class. I was taking a positon different than his. When I told him my position he left and returned with a stack of books that would assist me in articulating my view. I remember thinking – “That is the kind of seminary teacher I would like to be one day.”
How did past ministry/professional experience lead to your position at Calvary: My passion for theology, which correctly utilizes natural revelation, has always been a part of my professional and ministerial journey. Over the last several years my journey has provided me an opportunity to oversee Abundant Life Counseling Center in Lee’s Summit. Abundant Life Counseling Center currently provides internships for 15-20 masters level counseling students a year to fulfill practicum and supervision requirements for their respective degree programs. The opportunity to partner with Calvary University was a natural fit.
Ministry/Professional involvement outside of Calvary: Pastor of Counseling and Leadership Development at Abundant Life Church, Lee’s Summit, MO. Wellness Pastor overseeing Abundant Life Counseling Center, Lee’s Summit, MO. Serving on the Board of Directors at Peace Partnership Counseling Center, Lee’s Summit, MO.
