Calvary Introduces Pathway to Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Calvary University is excited to announce a new academic pathway designed to empower students pursuing both ministry and healthcare careers. In collaboration with the University of Central Missouri (UCM), Calvary introduces a pathway from an Associate of Arts to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. This unique partnership allows students to earn both an Associate of Arts in Ministry Studies from Calvary and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UCM, providing a comprehensive foundation for their future careers.
The program is tailored for individuals passionate about serving their communities through both spiritual and healthcare professions. Students begin their journey at Calvary University, where they complete an Associate of Arts in Ministry Studies. This curriculum integrates a foundational Bible-based education at Calvary with essential pre-nursing coursework taken at UCM as open electives. The comprehensive Associate degree ensures that students are well-prepared academically and spiritually for the challenges of a ministering in a nursing career.
Along with courses in Bible Study/Hermeneutics, Old and New Testament Surveys, and Evangelism & Spiritual Life, students engage in practical ministry courses such as Intro to Biblical Counseling, Developing a Biblical Worldview, and Teaching the Bible, fostering a strong foundation in Christian ministry alongside their academic pursuits.
Upon successful completion of the Associate degree, students seamlessly transfer their credits to the University of Central Missouri to enroll in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. This streamlined transfer process allows students to build on their foundational studies at Calvary while advancing their education in an excellent nursing program. The partnership ensures that students benefit from a Christ-centered community at Calvary and receive high-quality nursing education at UCM, ultimately earning two degrees that open diverse career opportunities.
Calvary University’s new pathway program not only equips students with the knowledge and skills needed for a successful nursing career but also nurtures their spiritual growth and commitment to serving others. Prospective students interested in blending ministry with nursing are encouraged to explore this innovative opportunity and embark on a transformative educational journey.
