Education – (BS/MS): The Virginia Department of Education requires out-of-state applicants to complete a state approved EPP through an accredited university or hold a valid out-of-state teaching license. Virginia offers two reciprocity pathways: 1) a traditional pathway, and 2) a universal pathway for those who have held a valid teaching license for three years prior to application for a Virginia teaching license. Calvary University’s EPP is approved by the Missouri State Board of Education, and Calvary is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). However, Calvary’s pre service teacher education curriculum may not fully meet Virginia licensure requirements as Virginia requires the completion of several training modules prior to licensure.
