Position Profile: Are you passionate about serving the local church and a rural community?  Are you a team-builder who would value working with committed volunteer leaders?  Are you coachable, hopeful to be mentored by a veteran pastor?  Cornerstone Bible Church of Gothenburg, Nebraska seeks a “Ministry Intern” to join our close-knit, outreach-minded, small-town church family. 

Who We Are: Cornerstone Bible Church is a non-denominational, small-town church over 130 years-old.  Corn and bean fields along with livestock pastures surround our little “city” of 3800.  Every Sunday close to 200 people fill our sanctuary to worship our Lord and Savior through music, testimonies, and expository preaching. 

Things You Should Know About Us: We are a politically and theologically conservative church body who believes a Biblical-worldview should guide not only our life in the church but out of it as well.  We are committed to our family, our kids, our neighbors, and our town. 

What Your Mentorship Will Look Like: Weekly meetings and mentorship from a seasoned senior pastor, a robust team of volunteer student ministry leaders, a committed ministry staff, and a church board are ready to rally around a young, teachable pastor-to-be for a 9 to 12-month paid internship.
