A Program Manager is a professional responsible for overseeing all aspects of the summer program and retreats within Camp Elohim, it includes planning, implementation, budget management, staff supervision, evaluation, and ensuring the program aligns with the organization’s strategic goals; essentially acting as the leader and driving force behind the program’s success from conception to completion.
Program Manager Responsibilities:
• Administrative: Develop, promote, recruit, implement, and manage programing for summer and non-summer months as well as offer hospitality for guest ministry groups. Help manage and organize the camp schedule to ensure all the activities are staffed and prepared,
• Team Lead: Help manage and supervise summer staff; provide assistance where necessary to ensure the program is running smoothly & safely
• Christian Character: a role model for Spiritual leadership through providing prayer and study to campers and staff
• Creative and Fun: facilitate and train fun activities and games within the schedule; adding controlled excitement and flair to the program to engage campers & staff
• Teacher: willing to learn, train, and lead program activities including some of the following: archery, river rafting, kayaking, 22 range, lake day/boating, zip-line, teambuilding, games, and various outdoor skills.
Other:
Maintenance Assistance during slower season and/or times of expansion and growth of the camp property.
A willingness for community engagement to develop relationships for ministry growth is also expected.
Requirements:
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Have prior camp experience (2+ years)
• Have prior leadership experience
Job Detail:
• Must be available to work begin April or May (or up to a month earlier).
• Position is Full-Time
• Personal support raising will be required to help supplement along with the stipend. Stipend determined by experience level.
• Private room with shared kitchen and living space with other staff (married couples may apply)
• Works directly with Camp Director to oversee the program
