God has used the Elementary Education Program to supply qualified teachers for schools all over the world. Calvary alumni can be found teaching elementary school in public and private, mission and international schools, as well as serving as home school educators. Some have become principals and administrators, while still others teach in church-related ministries. Many have pursued advanced degrees and continue to contribute to the field of education in their spheres of influence.

  • Demonstrate mastery of content knowledge aligned with their certification area.
  • Create lesson plans and unit plans that implement curriculum development strategies and instructional approaches utilizing a variety of resources to encourage students’ critical thinking, problem-solving, and performance skills while considering differentiated strategies to support all learners.
  • Demonstrate effective pedagogical skills.
  • Articulate how various philosophies of individual and group motivation and behavior can be applied to create learning environments that encourage active engagement in learning, positive social interaction and constructive self-management.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of effective formative and summative assessment strategies to evaluate learners’ academic progress.
  • Complete all the appropriate requirements and assessments throughout the degree program.

The Educational Studies degree programs are designed for individuals who desire to be prepared to teach others but may not desire to teach in a traditional school setting. Since the Educational Studies degree programs are non-certification programs, they do not include Student Teaching as a requirement for graduation.
