As we reach the end of this year, please remember the Calvary students in your prayers. Some of them have final exams, papers, and projects to finish. Others may be done with classwork, but now they are traveling home for Christmas break. Pray for spiritual and physical protection. Intercede especially for those students who are going home to unsaved family and friends. Pray that God would give them opportunities to share about the Savior and that they would put into practice the lessons they have learned at Calvary. Also pray for the new students who will be joining the Calvary family in January that God would supply their every need.
Cory Trowbridge, Vice President of Student Services, spoke to the new students during Orientation on Monday.
Things returned to “normal” this week, and by “normal” I mean, students on campus, meals in the dining hall, Chapel, and, of course, classes! We are excited to welcome several new students this semester and also happy to have many returning ones. Would you take a moment to pray for us? Pray that new students, faculty, and staff will have a smooth transition to life at Calvary. Pray that students will manage their homework and study time well amidst basketball season, rehearsals for Beauty and the Beast, work, and Christian ministry responsibilities. Finally, pray that we would all “grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”
Do you remember what the end of the fall semester is like? If not, let me jog your memory! You have papers to write, projects to finish, and, of course, final exams. There are also many other events and activities vying for your attention – Christmas parties, basketball games, spending time with friends, Christmas shopping, and maybe even playing in the snow! You are looking forward to heading home in just a few days to spend time with family and friends. If you are an older student, you may have children to care for in addition to everything else. It can be a very busy time! Please pray that our students would maintain the proper focus and finish the semester well. Also ask God to give them health and safety during their upcoming break from school.
Students gathered in the Clark Academic Center on Tuesday to enjoy some food and fellowship at their German-themed Christmas Open House.
