Single Occupancy Dorm Features & Amenities
- Calvary provides wireless internet access in all residence halls.
- Each single occupancy residence dorm room is furnished with one standard full size bed and mattress, one desk, one chair, two walk-in closets, storage drawers, and a personal bathroom.
- Cleaning supplies are provided in each residence hall.
- Each residence hall includes shared kitchen, lounge, and laundry areas.
- Kitchens are equipped with limited cookware, dishes, and utensils.
Double Occupancy Dorm Features & Amenities
- Calvary provides wireless internet access in all residence halls.
- Each double occupancy dorm room is furnished with two twin-sized beds and mattress, two desks, two chairs, two walk-in closets, and a personal bathroom to be shared by both occupants. Both twin-sized beds contain drawers underneath.
- Cleaning supplies are provided in each residence hall.

Calvary University Residency Requirements
At Calvary University, we have established specific housing requirements to ensure a supportive and structured living environment for our students. These requirements, which are subject to annual review and updates, are particularly relevant for our younger undergraduate community:

All single undergraduate students under the age of 23 are required to live on campus.
2.
Students must be enrolled in at least six credit hours per semester.
3.
All residents in our dormitories are required to participate in a meal plan.
These guidelines are designed with the best interests of our students in mind, supporting their academic success and personal growth in a faith-based educational setting.

Student Housing Rules & Deadlines
Residence Hall Regulations
- 1st and 2nd floor are men’s halls. Women are not to be on these halls.
- 3rd and 4th floor are women’s halls. Men are not to be on these halls.
- The elevator is for the use of women and those with disabilities ONLY. Exceptions will be made on certain days for students moving in/out. Exceptions for the elevator use must be cleared with the Student Development Department and/or Accommodations Support Office (ASO).
- The first-floor common area is open to both genders until curfew. Students must conform to campus dress code for decency when in this public place. Exceptions to these regulations: students may access the halls of the opposite gender in fulfillment of campus job requirements (i.e., security access for injuries) or approved Residence Hall activities (i.e., open dorms).
- A guest is anyone not currently paying to live in the Residence Hall. In order to host a guest overnight, the student-host must request to host a guest in the Residence Hall within one week of the guest’s planned arrival. The request must be submitted to the RDL for approval.
Housing Application Deadlines
New students must apply for First-Year housing by June 1. Applications received after June 1 will be placed on a waitlist, pending space availability.

Dorm Security Policies
You must have a student ID/key card to enter the dorm. We have security cameras covering the entire outside area of the dorm, the dorm lobby, and the dorm stairwells. There are no cameras in student rooms.

How are Roommates Assigned in Calvary University Dorms?
Incoming students fill out a questionnaire and are then matched with a roommate unless they request a specific roommate. We spend a lot of time trying to get the roommate pairings right!

Can I Bring Personal Appliances/Furniture to My Dorm Room?
Every dorm room has a bedframe, mattress, dresser, desk, and large closet for each student. Some students bring a mini-fridge, comfy chair, lamps and string lights to make their dorm room feel like home. Every dorm floor has a lounge with a full size refrigerator, oven, and microwave. The lounge also has an assortment of pots, pans, and other cooking necessities.
What Support Services are Available for On-Campus Students?
Every Calvary student can access the Clark Academic Center’s learning lab and tutors (the CAC). Dorm students have an RDL and RDD who provide personal support and encouragement. Calvary has an accommodations department. Calvary has partnerships with local churches and can offer professional counseling when needed.
How Does Housing Work During Breaks and Holidays?
Our dorms stay open during fall and spring break, but cafeteria services are not provided during that time. Our dorm closes during Christmas break, but students are allowed to keep their belongings in the room. The dorm closes for Summer the day after graduation each year, and rooms must be emptied.
Are There Laundry Facilities in the Dorms?
Every dorm floor has a laundry room with two washers and two dryers. After a brief tutorial on laundry room etiquette, students may use the machines whenever needed.
