Kearney Bible Church is prayerfully seeking to fill the vacancy of the Senior Pastor position.

 

We are a small regional church situated on seven acres that has a congregation of people from several different towns and rural areas in the Northland of Missouri. Kearney, Missouri is just 25 miles north of the Kansas City metropolitan area.

 

As an independent local church we are not related to a particular denomination. We are a Christ-centered evangelical church that holds to the fundamentals of Biblical Christianity where the infallible Word of God is taught.

SENIOR PASTOR-KEARNEY BIBLE CHURCH

 

MISSION STATEMENT: Kearney Bible Church Pastor

The Senior Pastor of Kearney Bible Church is called to serve as a shepherd leader in our body along with our elders to equip our body for their work of ministry in the local body of Christ, in our Northland community, and in the world toward the end goal of glorifying God, and fulfilling the Great Commission of making multiplying disciples to reach all nations for Christ.

 

MINISTRY TITLE: Senior Pastor

 

The Senior Pastor of KBC will take leadership in the expository teaching of God’s Word to build the Body of Christ spiritually, and reach non-Christians for Christ.

 

Ministry Duties:

Preach and teach Sunday worship services. Teach in other ministry opportunities as the Elders agree.
Exercise administrative duties respecting the other Elder’s leadership and responsibilities.
Minister to the youth and younger families.
Visit the sick and needy of the Body.
Exercise biblical counseling within his abilities and training.
Be available to perform the sacraments of baptism and communion
Be available to officiate weddings and funerals involving the membership of KBC.
Minister to our missionaries when needed.
Model way of life evangelism when opportunities arise.

 

Relationship with the Church Body

Function on the Elder Board as one of a plurality of equal Elders.
Relate to all the rest of the church body in a shepherding role.
Receive encouraging support from the congregation in their prayer life, their giving life, and their mutual ministry.

 

Other Guidelines

Fellowship with like-minded pastors
Must be in agreement with Kearney Bible Church Constitution and Doctrinal Statement.
Exercise discipling leadership to additional pastoral staff as the need arises.
