·         To provide professional case management services to the CLP participants at the Harbor from initial intake to graduation and follow-up as needed.

·         To operate the Learning Center so that CLP participants can achieve education and vocational goals through tutoring support and accessibility to training, curriculum and programs for preparation and completion, and/or providing assistance to increase vocational skills in an atmosphere of encouragement.

·         Seek to exemplify Jesus daily, and be prepared to share the Gospel as opportunities arise.

·         Function as a positive contributing member of the Harbor Team, and be responsible to communicate with appropriate staff, supply reports, attend meetings, etc. to ensure unity with the purpose and goals of the Mission.

Duties and Responsibilities

 Case Manager

·         Assist with initial screening and intake for potential CLP participants, including the completion of all                  necessary applications and/or forms for all new participants.

·         Meet regularly with CLP men, from initial screening and intake, for the purpose of case management, identifying program-related treatment and vocational goals and outcomes, measuring goal progress, and working with outside resources (e.g., legal, medical, vocational, etc.) to achieve participant goal outcomes. Maintain updated and organized CLP participant files, and ensure file privacy and security.

·         Assist in the CLP programming by teaching classes as needed, in providing appropriate correction and disciplinary action, administering drug and/or alcohol tests when assigned, and do the future planning, aftercare, and follow-up with CLP graduates.

·         Keep an updated database of volunteer mentors and disciplers.

Learning Center Supervisor

·         Work in coordination with Director of Vocational Development to establish and implement vocational and educational program curriculum, assessment, diagnostic tools, tutorials, and trainings.

·         Provide direction and oversight for all facets of the Learning Center, including managing computers, keeping accurate updated records, monitoring participant computer use, and proctoring exams, and managing volunteers.

·         Work with individual participants to provide necessary educational and/or vocational diagnostic assessment, monitor progress on education and vocation goals as they work toward defined outcomes, and communicate progress to appropriate staff.

·         Maintain curriculum materials and supplies, secure exam key files, and establish an organized, clean classroom with an atmosphere conducive to learning.


·         Be a born again, mature Christian able to clearly communicate the Gospel as opportunities during the work day arise. (1 Peter 2:21 and 1 Peter 3:15).

·         Have a desire to serve the Lord through widely varied responsibilities to advance ministry to those  currently homeless and the poor of Warsaw with a compassionate heart.

·         Model Christ-like behavior, leadership, good judgment, sensitivity, compassion, and excellent oral and  written communication skills.

·         Required: Associate’s degree with at least 2+ years of experience. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in business, human services or other related fields.

High-level proficiency in MS Office Suite programs
