Objective

To lead and oversee all Warsaw campus facilities and grounds.

Duties and Responsibilities

·      Lead staff in following primarily God’s Word and secondarily the policies and procedures of City Union Mission.

·      Complete paperwork in a timely manner, such as time sheets, evaluations, POs, etc.

·      Oversee camp physical operations and grounds.

·      Oversee rental camps while on campsite, working as a team with the Family Center Administrative Assistant and Camp Specialist.

·      Organize, set up and oversee new construction, remodeling, maintenance, etc. Some hands on in all of these areas, especially in emergencies. Have ability to troubleshoot with maintenance of facilities and equipment. Have ability to diagnose problems to determine when a professional is needed and estimate costs.

·      Participate and cooperate with the Camp Team, the Executive Leadership Team, and Strategic Planning process.

·      Manage office and staff, including use of computers and other office equipment that help with organization and administration.

·      Make sure all records and files are accurately kept, and that policies and procedures are faithfully applied.

·      Plan, update and expand current policies and procedures as needed. Any changes or modifications to policies, procedures or programs will be done in accordance with the Effects of Change policy.

·      Work positively with community, community agencies and groups on operational opportunities: developing and implementing a plan for community/church involvement and volunteer recruitment. Work with Program Director for communication and collaboration.

·      Have primary responsibility for the following employment matters relative to the Warsaw operation: advertising open positions, interviewing and hiring, handling staff discipline, and processing termination or resignation of staff.

·      Attend needed training and obtain certifications applicable to the position.

·      Develop and help provide training to staff through written materials, seminars, meetings, and/or referrals to budgeted and non-budgeted educational sources.

·      Be ready to assist in emergencies.

·      Encourage teamwork among the staff and assist in any conflict as needed.

·      Help coordinate and participate in special events through the year (e.g. Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.).

·      Prepare and/or oversee Warsaw operation budgets.

·      Seek to exemplify Jesus Christ daily and be prepared to share the Gospel as opportunities arise.

Qualifications

·      Be a born again, mature Christian able to clearly communicate the Gospel as opportunities during the work day arise. (1 Peter 2:21 and 1 Peter 3:15).

·      Have solid Christian leadership qualities in keeping with the reputation of this ministry.

·      Have a desire to serve the Lord through widely varied responsibilities to advance ministry to those currently homeless and the poor of Warsaw with a compassionate heart.

·      Have excellent computer skills.

·      Have communication, conflict management, and organization skills with people and projects.

·      Minimum High School diploma or equivalent, with 5 years of experience. Prefer Associates level or higher degree and/or certification in related fields.

Have experience with construction and the ability to learn new skills and earn certifications in maintaining all Warsaw facilities & equipment. Have skills in diagnosing and troubleshooting maintenance problems with facilities and equipment.
