Faculty Profile:

Mariah Morse

Title: Adjunct Faculty, Biblical Counseling

Started at Calvary: December 2021

Professional Information: B.S. (Biblical Counseling), Calvary University, 2016; M.S.W. (Social Work), University of Missouri – Kansas City, 2021.

Favorite aspect of teaching at Calvary: It feels very full circle to return to Calvary after graduating there years ago with my Bachelor’s. It feels amazing after years of gleaning knowledge from my professors to have this opportunity to shape students now.

Favorite class to teach: I would have to say either the Human Trafficking classes or Counseling Children!

Originally from: Blue Springs, Missouri!

Favorite memory as a Calvary student: I have hundreds…either singing in the Chorale or sitting in class with Mrs. Miller or Joa Braga.

How did past ministry/professional experience lead to your position at Calvary: Working at Restoration House with human trafficking survivors and working as a Play Therapist with children both influenced my choice to return to Calvary as an adjunct professor.

Ministry/Professional involvement outside of Calvary: I currently work at Shelterwood, a therapeutic boarding school for teens. I also serve at my local church.
