I have more than 25 years of radio broadcast experience spanning three cities (Kansas City, Atlanta, & Chicago). My career started right here at Calvary working at KLJC as a part time announcer and then full time evenings. The Lord then called me to work with the Moody Bible Institute at their major market radio station. There I served in a number of capacities including program host and News Director. Highlights of my ministry in Atlanta was working on broadcast production and hosting projects for the 1996 Olympic Games and interviewing leaders and top athletes during the two week event. I also had the pleasure of ministering with the Moody Radio and Billy Graham Evangelistic teams producing special features from Amsterdam for Amsterdam 2000 over a two-week period. I’m also the recipient of the Associated Press Best Feature Award in 2001 for a large market radio station.
In 2001, I was promoted to work at Moody’s Headquarters and flagship station in Chicago where I hosted/co-hosted four global call-in programs as a Sr. Producer/Voice talent. I’ve had the pleasure of conducting call-in and interview programs with National/International speakers/musicians such as Dr. Joe Stowell, Erwin Lutzer, James Dobson, Charles Ryrie, Joni Eareckson Tada, Steve Green, Larnell Harris and many others. In the process I worked closely with Moody Bible Institute’s Graduate and Seminary Professors in outreach efforts in the city.
Favorite aspect of teaching at Calvary: At this juncture, I don’t have a favorite aspect of teaching at the University. However, I anticipate that inspiring students to catch the flame for ministry to Christ as I have over these many years of working alongside so many godly men and women.
Favorite class to teach: Again, I don’t have a favorite at this point. My interests are quite diverse, but I find it interesting discovery to learn what excites students.

How did past ministry/professional experience lead to your position at Calvary: My heart and passion has always been a burning desire to impact the world for Christ long before graduating with a pastoral/broadcasting degree from Calvary. My passion for teaching God’s Word has morphed into a desire to use Business Administration as a means of penetrating a secular society with the Gospel.
While working for Moody Bible Institute in Chicago from 2001 to 2017, I started to acquire additional skills alongside my programming/production work. I studied graphic and web design utilizing various creative tools. I also started attending night school to obtain my MBA and DBA sensing the Lord was calling me to leave the confines of studio work in order to engage individuals and communities more. The call came in the form of a call to work at Calvary University as a full time professor.
Ministry/Professional involvement outside of Calvary: I continue working as an online journalist communicating insight and perspective on issues. I have a passion for communicating, in a simple way, complex relationships between subject matter such as organizational behavior, bio-medicine, strategic planning, & and financial analysis. It is my prayer I can serve the church at large by understanding this and other complex realities in a day of change.
