The Lady Warriors started their pre-season in strong form as they captured a 3-1 victory over Dayspring Bible College on Saturday afternoon in Lincoln, Illinois.  “I was extremely proud of our team today,” Warriors Head Coach Ashley Spicer said. “We didn’t give up and scored some important points at critical times.”

The Warriors rode the offensive prowess of junior Kaela Gingrich who led at the net all day.  The Warriors jumped out to an early lead in the opening set and had a good rhythm as a team. Still, the Eagles remained within striking distance as the sets went on.  Thanks to a high serving percentage, and servers that challenged the Eagle receivers impressively the Warriors were able to close out the match winning 25-10, 25-18, 19-25, 25-15.

With the win, the Warriors are ready to begin the regular season. The team will be back in action on Sep 7,8 as a part of a tip-off tournament at North Central University.
