How did past ministry/professional experience lead to your position at Calvary? After my initial seminary degree, I served in a pastorate for close to seven years. Calvary rightly values pastoral experience in its instructors. Throughout my initial seminary experience leading up to the M.Div. degree and also during my pastorate, a number of people including a New Testament professor encouraged me to pursue advanced theological studies. God, in the fall of 1988, led my wife and me to move to Dallas for me to pursue an advanced Master’s degree and then a Ph.D. in New Testament Studies. When the seminary dean of Calvary Theological Seminary, Dr. James Raiford, came to Dallas to find a New Testament professor, D.T.S. recommended me. When I applied at Calvary, I found the faculty and student body to be top-notch. God had led us every step of the way in his perfect timing. I praise God for all the excellent students he has sent to Calvary to be trained in skillfully handling the Word of God.

Ministry/Professional involvement outside of Calvary: Evangelical Theological Society, pulpit supply, Bible conference speaker, and Sunday school teacher.
