Office:  East Education 124

Title:  Assistant Professor of Education

Started at Calvary:  August 2012

Originally from:  New York; my family moved to Missouri when I was a child.

Favorite aspect of teaching at Calvary: I love getting to know our CU students and encouraging their strengths in ministry, academics, music, athletics, drama, etc.  Here at Calvary, we are blessed to teach from the perspective of the biblical worldview, encouraging students to walk moment by moment in the Holy Spirit, following the unique plan, purpose, and ministry that our Lord has for their lives.

Favorite class to teach:  All of the classes that I teach are my favorites because I am blessed to have the opportunity to offer instruction, strategies, and techniques to students, to prepare them to positively impact, inspire and educate their future students and all who they meet, not only academically, but spiritually and effectively!  I enjoy and appreciate sharing my passion for inspiring and educating children that our loving Lord has placed in my heart!

How did past ministry/professional experiences lead to your position at Calvary?  My parents provided a loving home in which we were blessed to know and love the Lord.  Since my parents both went to be with the Lord early in my life, I thank God for His guidance, and how He has been preparing me to share the joy of the Lord which truly is my strength.
After teaching for 31 years in the “mission field” of elementary public school education, the Lord guided me to Calvary.  He has given me a desire to prepare future educators to be effective, loving, dedicated teachers, and I have loved working with students of all majors at CU – they inspire me!
