Favorite aspect of teaching at Calvary: My favorite aspect of teaching at Calvary is the environment and sense of family that I have witnessed on campus. The Scriptures are extremely important to all of the students and faculty here, and it is seen in the day-to-day interactions with one another here on campus. This is what I like about teaching: when the students (and faculty) can take the information and see it applied throughout the campus. This is a very good thing!

Favorite class to teach:  Theological Foundations of Biblical Counseling

Originally from:  San Diego, California (El Cajon)

How did past ministry/professional experience lead to your position at Calvary:

  • Served as a teaching elder for a year in San Diego (Potrero Community Church).
  • Served as an adjunct professor for San Diego Christian College for 7 years teaching Behavioral Science and Theology courses.
  • Counseled for 6 years at three different places in San Diego (New Vision Christian Counseling Center; Counseling Ministries, Genesis Recovery Center; South Bay Community Services).

Ministry/Professional involvement outside of Calvary: I am teaching Sunday school at my local Church (Open Door Bible Church), and I am involved in various conferences throughout the year. I am also a consistent blogger and researching various topics of interest in psychology, philosophy, and theology.
