Position Title:

Adjunct Science Instructor

Time & Benefits:

This is an adjunct position with no benefits

Position Summary:

The instructor will be responsible to teach biology and physical science as part of the college General Education curriculum

Responsibilities:

  • Disseminates current information pertaining to services available to students
  • Participates in, and contributes to, curriculum development by planning, developing, and evaluating new and existing courses and curriculum
  • Participates in implementing college policies, guiding principles, objectives and functions in accordance with Calvary’s mission
  • Is familiar with and maintains behavior and actions consistent with policies
  • Maintains professional development/growth according to personal needs and certification requirements

Requirements:

Required Qualifications

  1. Personal faith in Jesus Christ
  2. Born-again believer and living a dedicated, separated life
  3. In agreement with Calvary’s doctrinal position
  4. Demonstrate maturity of person
  5. Effective organizational, administrative, and leadership skills
  6. Ability to take initiative in accomplishing goals
  7. A minimum of a master’s degree in science from an institution accredited by a CHEA recognized accrediting agency, or a master’s degree in another subject similarly accredited with at least 10 years teaching experience in science subjects at the secondary or post-secondary level
  8. Teaching experience at the post-secondary level
  9. Ability to communicate effectively with college students
  10. Ability to lead and motivate people
  11. Licenses, certifications, and/or registrations required by the program area
