Adjunct Science Instructor

Position Summary:
The instructor will be responsible to teach biology and physical science as part of the college General Education curriculum
Responsibilities:
- Disseminates current information pertaining to services available to students
- Participates in, and contributes to, curriculum development by planning, developing, and evaluating new and existing courses and curriculum
- Participates in implementing college policies, guiding principles, objectives and functions in accordance with Calvary’s mission
- Is familiar with and maintains behavior and actions consistent with policies
- Maintains professional development/growth according to personal needs and certification requirements

Required Qualifications
- Personal faith in Jesus Christ
- Born-again believer and living a dedicated, separated life
- In agreement with Calvary’s doctrinal position
- Demonstrate maturity of person
- Effective organizational, administrative, and leadership skills
- Ability to take initiative in accomplishing goals
- A minimum of a master’s degree in science from an institution accredited by a CHEA recognized accrediting agency, or a master’s degree in another subject similarly accredited with at least 10 years teaching experience in science subjects at the secondary or post-secondary level
- Teaching experience at the post-secondary level
- Ability to communicate effectively with college students
- Ability to lead and motivate people
- Licenses, certifications, and/or registrations required by the program area
