Adjunct Education Instructor

Position Summary:

The instructor will be responsible to teach the Elementary School Science Methods course as part of the college's Elementary Education Degree program.

Responsibilities:

  • Disseminates current information/teaching practices pertaining to the area of Elementary School Science for grades 1-6.
  • Participates in implementing college policies, guiding principles, objectives and functions in accordance with Calvary’s mission
  • Exhibits familiarity with and maintains behaviors consistent with Calvary policies.
  • Maintains professional development/growth according to personal needs and certification requirements

Accountability:

Chairperson of the Education Department

Requirements:

Required Qualifications

  • Personal faith in Jesus Christ
  • Born-again believer and living a dedicated, separated life
  • In agreement with Calvary’s doctrinal position
  • Demonstrate maturity of person
  • Effective organizational, administrative, and leadership skills
  • Ability to take initiative in accomplishing goals
  • A minimum of a master’s degree in education, or related area, from an institution accredited by a CHEA recognized accrediting agency
  • Missouri teacher certification
  • At least 10 years teaching experience in elementary or post-secondary level
  • Ability to communicate effectively with college students
  • Ability to lead and motivate people
