Academic Accommodations

Calvary Bible College and Theological Seminary offers reasonable accommodations to students with special needs in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (1990). Prior to receiving accomodations, the student must provide proper documentation verifying the disability (a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more life activities), and of the need for accommodation. Documentation may include official medical diagnosis, psychological evaluations, etc. For academic accommodation, contact the Academic Accommodations Coordinator. Any information provided is strictly voluntary and will be kept confidential. The information will be used for the student's immediate benefit.

The type of disability determines the appropriate accommodations. Services may include:

  • Special seating
  • Extended test time
  • Seperate test location
  • Oral tests
  • Taped or scanned texts on books or tapes
  • Taped lectures
  • Note-taking assistance
  • Language substitution
  • Tutor
  • Other accommodations as requested and approved
