Title: Librarian
Responsibilities: Managing library staff, reporting and budgeting for the library, collection management, conducting information literacy sessions
Started at Calvary: July 2008
Professional Information: B.A. (Christian Ministry: Library and Information Technology), Calvary Bible College, 2003; M.L.S. (in progress) (Library and Information Science), Drexel University.
Favorite aspect of ministry at Calvary: Seeing students have those "Ah-ha" moments when they're reading from a page or listening to a lecture and the "information" changes to "knowledge" that they hide in their hearts and keep for their future.
Professional Organization(s): Association of Christian Libraries
Originally from: Everywhere in the United States! I was a military brat.
Favorite memory as a Calvary student: A favorite memory is a snowball fight I had with fellow Greek students on the way back from class. I remember laughing so hard, I literally fell and couldn't get up!
How did past ministry/professional experience lead to your position at Calvary: While I was a student at Calvary, I worked in many different departments, including the library. Before I came back to Calvary as the Librarian, I worked in a public library.
Ministry/Professional involvement outside of Calvary: I recently started attending a new church, so I look forward to becoming active in ministry there. Outside of church, I support various missionaries. Though I do not feel the Lord has called me to be a missionary, I do believe that He has called me and my family to be active in the support of missionaries.
