The Exceptional Child
Description
This is an introduction to human exceptionality and the field of special education. This survey course examines the diverse needs of students with varying abilities and how educators can make accommodations and modifications for individual differences in the least restrictive environment. (Prerequisite: ED190 or permission from the Education Department advisor; no prerequisite for non-education majors)
