Enter the Victorian sanctuary of the Brewster family where insanity runs amok! The residents include Abby and Martha, two sweet elderly ladies who have ten – or is it eleven? Gentlemen buried in the basement, victims of Abby and Martha’s renowned elderberry wine… laced with just a tad of arsenic. Not to worry, their brother Teddy is convinced they’re all victims of yellow fever, rampant at the Panama Canal. Teddy as President Teddy Roosevelt buries them in the basement. Enter Mortimer Brewster, nephew of Abby and Martha, and a theatre critic for the New York Times. His aunts love him dearly, but they continue to hope for honest employment. Enter Elaine, the Pastor’s daughter from the parsonage across from the cemetery. Enter Jonathan, Mortimer’s estranged brother, with the face of Boris Karloff and the reputation of a psychopathic killer. How Mortimer and Elaine manage to find true love in the midst of the sinister and the macabre is the stuff of this Victorian Valentine to the theatre.

Doors open at 6:45 p.m. for evening performances, and 11 a.m. for the matinee performance.

Ticket Prices
To purchase advanced tickets, please use the online order form below or call the Calvary Public Relations Office at (816) 322-0110 Ext. 1360. Your tickets will be kept in will call, and you may pick them up at the box office prior to the performance. Please arrive at least 20 minutes before the performance in order to allow for lines at the box office and time to be seated. Tickets will be available at the door; however, please be advised that seating is limited.
