For Immediate Release:
Kansas City, Mo. – The Calvary Warriors men's basketball team loss 50-79 to Ozark Christian College of Joplin, Mo. on Tuesday, Jan. 17.
"We were all very dissapointed with the way we played in the first half," said men's basketball coach John Krchmar. "We didn't come out ready to play at all. They were up 15 to nothing to begin the game."
The Warriors were down 23-51 at half time.
"It's really hard, and that seems to be the reoccuring theme of our team," Krchmar said. "We're going to be working on some things to change that. The second half was much better -- we played much better defense."
Sophomores Justin Veals and Larry Taylor, both from Baton Rouge, La., led the Warriors with 13 and 11 points, consecutively.
Calvary (2-8) will play Nebraska Christian College on Friday, Jan. 20, at home. Tipoff is at 7 p.m.
