Calvary vs. Union

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

WARRIORS DROP HOME OPENER

KANSAS CITY MO - November 27, 2012 - The Warriors dropped their home opener to Union College 87-70 as they fall to 1-3 overall. The Warriors have now dropped two games in a row after picking up their first of the season just before Thanksgiving.

As always, there were some bright spots amidst the loss. Detrich Carter had 20 points. Karlin Wiebe had 24 points and 22 rebounds in the first half and was instrumental in keeping the game within reach in the first half. Though the Warriors did play well in the first half, they were not able to keep it up for the entirety of the game. In the end, turnovers are what killed the Warriors. It is one thing that Coach Mickelson will surely be communicating to his team.

“We worked hard and never gave up during the game. We will work on our weaknesses,” said Coach Mickelson after the game.

The Warriors are now 1-3 overall. Their next game is Wednesday, December 4, at 8:00 p.m. against Grace University in Omaha, Nebraska.
