For Immediate Release:
Dubuque, Iowa – The Calvary Bible College Lady Warriors basketball team opened their season with a 60-32 win on top of Emmaus Bible College (Dubuque, Iowa) Friday night.
Kay Krahn, a senior guard from Langdon, N.D., led Calvary with 32 points in the game, a double-double, and 13 rebounds.
The Lady Warriors established their winning lead early by going into the second half up 31-8.
"I was definitely pleased in how we did. Kay scored as many teams as Emmaus scored in the entire game," said Lady Warriors coach Tressa Shoemaker. "We're definitely still a little rusty coming right out of volleyball season, but with tons of practice, we'll become better and stronger."
The Lady Warriors will play their first home game 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 29 against Manhattan Christian College (Manhattan, Kan.).
