"At first, I didn't want to come to school at Calvary, but then I met some of the students. They were so in love with God, because they were learning so much about Him. I wanted that! I tried it and fell in love with Calvary!

Calvary offers an education that's not pulled from men's ideas, but straight out of God's Word. Since it's from God's Word, the Holy Spirit uses it to change you. If you're new to Calvary, give us a call! We would love to show you how Calvary can help prepare you to do great things for God in your life!"

Education: B.S. in Theater Arts and Urban Studies, 2012.

Hometown: Belton, Missouri (a whopping 5 minutes from campus!)

Family: Married to the cutest guy on campus.

Favorite Bible Verse: Matthew 22:37-39, “Jesus said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hand all the Law and the Prophets.” I will NEVER understand the depths of what it means to truly love Jesus and love others!

Favorite Place on Campus: Greenroom

Favorite area in Kansas City: City Market

What was your favorite Calvary course and why? Too many to choose from! All the Theology classes (which are so practical!) and Playwriting in which I learned what makes a good story and began to see parallels in how God is creating a wonderful, grand story of my life and it’s all for His glory!

Outside of the classroom, what activities or ministries were you involved in during college? For a while, I was able to help with a Christian theater company that would teach inner city kids about the arts and perform scenes that included the Gospel.

Why did you attend Calvary? I knew I wanted an education that was solidly based on God’s Word and would prepare me for service instead of just a good job and I knew Calvary had that, but because I knew so many graduates of Calvary I shied away, wanting to do my own thing. Then I met the students at Calvary through my church’s college class and I saw the depth of understanding they had for God’s Word and their commitment to service. Calvary also had my major, so I came. One of the BEST choices of my life!
