Wendell “Deacon” Cole was born and raised in Kansas City. He became a believer in 2003 during his freshman year in college. Having a heart to see the Gospel shared in his community, Wendell left after his freshman year and began to pastor youth in the inner city of Kansas City, Kansas. Eventually he returned to school and graduated from Calvary Bible College with a major in Pastoral Studies. Currently he serves as the Lead Teaching Pastor at Koinonia Bible Church and is finishing graduate studies at Midwestern Seminary. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Devaney, and his two children, Malachi and Seleah, while pursuing ways to spread the Gospel to the urban core.
Dr. Mike Dodds was born and raised in the Chicago area, graduated from Asbury College and then served as an instructor pilot and squadron training officer in the Air Force. Upon graduation from Dallas Theological Seminary, Mike pastored churches in several states and served as a Chaplain in the Air Force Reserves. In 2007 he was named Chairman of the Pastoral Studies programs for both Calvary Bible College and Calvary Theological Seminary. Mike and his wife, Virginia, live in Shawnee, Kansas, and their five children have blessed them with 14 grandchildren (so far!). His life verse is Hebrews 12:1-2, he has always had a passion to see God's people grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, and for Christ's churches to be healthy.
Brent Rice is a husband first and everything else comes after that! He graduated from Lincoln College Preparatory Academy of Kansas City & received his Bachelors Degree in Speech Communication from Northwest Missouri State University. Brent has traveled the city and nation sharing his gift of poetry at various universities, churches, and other venues. Brent is currently serving his local body of Koinonia Bible Church as a Pastor Intern & Teen Ministry Director. He is married to Christa and resides in Kansas City, Missouri.
Cory Trowbridge serves as the Dean of Students and Instructor of General Studies at Calvary Bible College. He received his B.A. in Biblical Studies from Frontier School of the Bible in 2005; B.S. in Organizational Leadership from Calvary Bible College in 2008; and M.B.A. (Business Administration) from MidAmerica Nazarene University in 2010. He is originally from Northern Colorado and loves the Broncos! He and his wife Becky have recently become the proud parents of a beautiful baby girl. His favorite aspect of teaching at Calvary is the opportunities to invest in the students – challenging them to grow spiritually and intellectually.
