Spring 2016 Tutors

Ashley Spicer

Ashley is a missionary kid from the Philippines with family living in Wichita, Kansas. She is a senior this year but will graduate in the spring of 2017 with her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Afterwards, she hopes to teach overseas in a missionary or international school setting. She loves to play sports, act, sing, and of course help students in The Learning Center! This is her third year as a tutor at Calvary. Watching students come in to The Learning Center to unwind from the stresses of college and being able to help them in any way that she can is her favorite part of work.

Philip Parker

Philip is a sophomore Secondary Education major from Harrison, Nebraska. He is the middle child of seven whose father is a pastor and mother a homeschool teacher. Originally recruited to play basketball for Calvary, he is now a student assistant coach for the men's team. He enjoys playing sports, especially football and basketball, watching sports (Go Big Red), working with his grandpa on the farm, sleeping, hiking, and just about anything with power tools. Lord willing, he plans to teach social studies and coach basketball in a rural high school after he graduates. He enjoys working in The Learning Center because he loves helping people and TLC gives him countless opportunities to serve.

Celeste Williams

Celeste is a sophomore from Raytown, MO. Her mom is from Hong Kong, her dad is from America, and she has one older brother. Her hobbies/interests include dancing; coaching basketball, soccer, and softball; music; taking naps in the sun; and watching movies. Her goals include graduating, teaching in a missions school in Papua New Guinea, and always being actively involved in furthering God's kingdom no matter where she is. Celeste enjoys working in The Learning Center because it is work that will make her better at her future profession.

Karinna Wong

Karinna is a sophomore Intercultural Studies major from San Mateo, California. She enjoys learning, writing, science, art, and spending time with her three sisters.
