Violinist Sarah Kim began her musical studies at the age of three and has performed extensively throughout the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Most recently as a resident artist at the Apple Hill Center for Chamber Music, she toured with the Apple Hill String Quartet through its Playing for Peace program and served as music director and instructor for the Nelson Strings program in Nelson, New Hampshire.
Dr. Kim has earned degrees from Indiana University, Yale School of Music, and Stony Brook University. She studied with Josef Gingold, Miriam Fried, Peter Oundjian, Pamela Frank, and Phil Setzer and has coached with members of the Takacs Quartet, Tokyo Quartet, Emerson Quartet, Mendelssohn Quartet, American Quartet, and Vermeer Quartet.
She continues to be in high demand as a coach, performer, and teacher.
