For Immediate Release:

Kansas City, Mo. – The Calvary Warriors men's basketball team lost 61-73 Friday night to Faith Baptist Bible College of Ankeny, Iowa.

"Overall, I'm rather dissapointed about tonight's game," said Warriors coach John Krchmar. "We started slow, and they jumped out with a lead. I thought it would be closer for longer of the game. They had us down 20 for awhile in the second half and we fought back."

The Warriors were down 24-38 at half time.

One of the highlights for the Warriors was shooting 81 percent from the free throw line.

"They're just a well-coached team," Krchmar said of Faith Baptist. "They are led by a lot of seniors and juniors, and they'll just wear you down. They're physical, they're big, and that's the challenge that we face."

"The biggest problems we had tonight is that we gave up 14 rebound and 17 turnovers," he said.

Senior forward Dan Terrell (Alta Vista, Kan.) led the Warriors with 21 points and sophomore forward Eric Daniels (Lee's Summit, Mo.) followed with 18 points.

Calvary (2-6) will play Ozark Christian on Tuesday, Jan. 17, at home. Tipoff is at 7:30 p.m.
