Calvary at Ozark

KANSAS CITY, MO  A tough match up zone was the key factor in a 61-57 Ozark Christian win over the Warriors in women's basketball action Tuesday, December 12.

The Warriors had Ozark on their heels early, jumping out to an 11-0 lead in the game's first four minutes.  But Ozark didn't falter, and slowly chipped away at the lead throughout the first half.  Their zone was tough and a huge factor in gaining a one point lead at the half that they would not relinquish.

The second half was closely contested, but the Warriors would never get closer than two the rest of the way.  Calvary finished with a rebounding advantage, but the Ambassadors held the Warriors to 30% shooting with their active zone.

Allie Riegel once again led the way with 26 points.  Lydia Chambers chipped in with 11 points and a huge 12 rebounding night.

The Warriors travel to McPherson, KS, Saturday (December 7) to take on Central Christian College.
