Coach Nate White
Responsibilities: Head Women's Basketball Coach
Nathan White is entering his second season as the Head Women’s Basketball Coach. The team finished with a 12-7 record and second place in the MCCC. Coach White coached two first team All-Conference players and one honorable mention All-Conference player in his first season at the helm. This coming year the team looks to continue to build upon the foundation that was established this past season. His vision for the program is built on a foundational relationship with Jesus Christ, focused on the players growing in their relationship with Christ. Education will be another top priority in the program.
Coach White spent the 2013-2014 season as the Assistant Coach for the men’s team here at Calvary. Coach White came to us from Heritage Christian Academy where he served as a Varsity and JV Assistant Coach and the Head Junior High Coach during the 2012-2013 season.
Coach White played during the 2002 through 2004 seasons at Calvary Bible College as a guard. After his time at Calvary he finished his degree with Ashford University. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Sports and Recreation Management.
Since age seven, when Coach White placed his faith and trust in Jesus Christ, he has continued to build on his relationship with Christ. He met his beautiful bride, Marci, at Calvary Bible College. They have two beautiful children, Loralie and Silvie, with a third child on the way in August. Loralie will start first grade this year, and Silvie will be starting kindergarten. During his off time Coach White spends time with his family at local parks and at racing events his wife participates in. He also enjoys watching basketball and fishing in the nearest body of water.
Coach White says: “A favorite verse of mine is Jeremiah 29:11--For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. To me, this is an amazing verse of how God wants what is best for us. We simply have to rely completely on His will.”
Coach and his family currently reside in Gardner, Kansas.
